LINEUP OF DAY
We start the day by traveling to the top of a volcano called Hengill. This location is where most of the citizens of Reykjavik get hot water and electricity from a geothermal power station all in a very efficient and environmentally friendly fashion. Here we will have a chance to learn how they operate.
On the next stop in our journey we head out to a beautiful waterfall called Seljalandsfoss along with local secret spots. We will have an option of walking behind the waterfall. We then drive towards the valley of the Thors to view the eruption site of Eyjafjallajökull.At Þorvaldseyri you get to know the true spirit of a local Icelander as when most people think about the devastation from the volcanic eruption they thinks about opportunities and positive angles. Our next stop will be a spectacular 60 meter high waterfall called Skógafoss. Get your cameras ready !
Then our drive will take us to the Sólheimajökull glacier where we can walk to the glacier roots. We will bring with us proper safety gear that we bring with us. Our last stops of the day will be the column basalt formations, Reynisfjara black sand beach.
